When: Friday, April 11, 2008 at 5:30 PM

Where: A celebratory sit-down dinner to toast the accomplishments of Alvin Ailey will be held at 5:30 PM in the Spiering Room of the Sheldon Concert Hall. Guests will then walk to The Fox Theatre for an 8 PM performance of the spectacular Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.  A post-performance dessert reception will be held in the Fox Lobby along with dancing to the Ralph Butler Band.

Why: Proceeds will benefit Dance St. Louis’ multi-year Extended Residency Program. This spring, under-served middle and high school students in four area public schools and two Boys & Girls Clubs will receive three weeks of daily, intensive instruction with gifted instructors from the Ailey Company.
