“What I do is spawned by emotion and passion,” says Tania Pérez-Salas, the young Mexican dancer and choreographer who’s become the sleeper sensation of dance festivals around the globe. Her works are fabulous shows overflowing with compelling images that she fashions from her gorgeous dancers and magical stage effects, using water, sand, fog, swinging ropes, billowing fabric, and beams of light that slice through the air. She spins her luminous visions to delight the eye and plumb the heart.
