With each dance company we present, Dance St. Louis provides the opportunity for local students and teachers of dance to take a master class from artistic directors, ballet masters, or dancers from world-renowned companies. Classes are offered on the campuses of our college partners: Webster University, Washington University, and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Classes are free to the host college's students and offered at minimal cost to members of the general public.

UPCOMING CLASS Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater Flamenco Master Class Saturday, January 28, 2012 11 AM-12:30 PM Washington University, Danforth Campus Women’s Building Olin Studio 2 This class will be led by Irma Suárez Ruíz, associate artistic director of Ensemble Español. The class is designed as an introduction to Flamenco for dancers at any level of experience. After a brief warm-up and explanation, dancers will learn the first copla (or section) of the Sevillana. • The class is open to dancers aged 13 to adult, beginners through intermediate in any style of dance • Pre-registration is required / registration fee: $15 • Pre-register by calling the Dance St. Louis box office at 314.534.6622 • Dress code and directions to studio will be provided at pre-registration
